Use Freelite to quantitatively monitor patients with monoclonal gammopathy
Use Freelite to quantitatively monitor patients with monoclonal gammopathy, including:
- Multiple Myeloma
- Smouldering Multiple Myeloma
- AL Amyloidosis
Advantages of serum free light chain (sFLC) analysis include:
- Freelite is a more reliable and sensitive tool than urine analysis
- FLCs have a short half-life (hours) allowing earlier indication of response to treatment
- Monitor oligosecretory Multiple Myeloma patients whose serum cannot be measured accurately using electrophoresis
- dFLC is recommended to monitor response to treatment. The k/λ FLC ratio alone is not recommended due to fluctuations in the uFLC
- Freelite provides additional sensitivity for detection of residual disease and is required to define a stringent complete response (sCR)
- Detect Multiple Myeloma relapse with FLC-escape
