The Binding Site Group has its principal manufacturing and distribution facilities located in the United Kingdom. Our principal antibody production facility is located in the United States. We already hold a considerable level of key raw material stocks and components in our UK warehouses as well as finished goods within our UK, USA, French and German warehouses and we have taken steps to increase stock holdings and secure logistics capacity across the globe.

We have taken account of our current stock-holdings of components and are comfortable that for the mid-term at least, our production will continue unaffected. This is something that remains subject to regular review and we continue to engage with our key supply chain partners to understand their exposure to manufacturing and logistics interruptions relating to COVID-19.

Our key focus is to ensure our customers’ needs are met whilst protecting our employees. We have taken steps to mitigate impact on production to the greatest extent possible and we are working with customers to understand how service and support can best be maintained in light of various local restrictions in visiting hospitals and laboratories.

In the UK, we are rigorously following the advice of the UK Government and Public Health England in prioritising the safety of employees and visitors, being mindful that travel restrictions and evolving guidance will impact differently on customers globally. We are fully supporting staff in the event that they may need to self-isolate and we have introduced measures to screen visitors to our sites.

Similarly, each of our General Managers in our offices around the globe are responding to and complying with their national guidance, ensuring that their employees are safe and their customers well-served. We apologise for the temporary inconvenience this may cause to customers wishing to visit any of our facilities.

We value our position as a trusted supplier of IVD products to our customers and please rest assured that we are monitoring the situation very closely. We also recognise that local requirements may impose more restrictive practices than those currently required in the UK.
